Eloisa Cristina Aranda, who is known as Penny, was born on December 3, 1969 in Clovis, NM. She was the youngest daughter of Felipe and Senaida Aranda. Her beloved grandparents who preceded her in death were Welita Domingo and Welita Andrea Aranda; and Luciano (Papa Chano) and Margarita (Mama Mage) Holguin. She attended school in Portales and spent quality time with the extended Aranda family including aunts, uncles and lots of cousins. She also made lasting memories with the Holguin extended family from Imperial, Texas. The family moved to Lovington where she attended Lovington High School where she excelled in basketball and track. She graduated from Lovington High School with her friends Angie and Connie. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Albuquerque and worked as a dental assistant in Hobbs and Las Cruces. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Andrea in 1993. She is survived by her siblings Homer (Olivia) Vasquez, Kris (Tony) Padilla, Phil (Angela) Aranda, Martha (Danny) Sanchez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Penny was the mother of Mia Andrea (Damian) Baltazar of Lovington and Abel Moreno III (AJ) of Phoenix, whom she loved with all her heart. Her pride and joy was her beloved grandson, Zacchaeus Baltazar who called her Boo-Boo. She was very artistic and creative. She could decorate anything from crafts to home interiors. She was also a wonderful cook. She was charming, loving and with a quick wit about her that was so endearing. She is much loved and will be dearly missed, but held in our hearts forever. God bless.
