MaryAnn Marquez, 62, was born in Española, New Mexico to Antonio Serrano and Anita Villalpando on October 13, 1956. MaryAnn passed away May 23, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Felix Marquez of 25 years; and brothers: Jerry Serrano and Modesto Villalpando. Mom was a very friendly person and very hardworking. She was a people greeter at Wal-Mart for many years. She always greeted people with a smile and always pet smiles on people’s faces. She had a heart of gold and always helped others in need. Mom made everyone laugh and she loved her family very much. She loved going to Bingo and eating every morning with her friends, especially her “Prima” Gloria Gutierrez as she liked to call her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica De Los Santos; son, Israel Marquez, Sr.; brother, Jose Leon Serrano; sisters: Rosa Gonzalez, Raquel (Javier) Torres and Lucile Serrano; and 6 grandchildren: Anabel Iniguez, Israel Sr. III, Yesenia Iniguez Marquez, Brenda Iniguez, Yanette Marquez and Sofia Iniguez. Pallbearers to serve will be Israel Marquez, Jesus Iniguez, Michael Gonzalez, Leroy Gonzalez, Emmanuel De Los Santos, Emmanuel Martinez, Abel Bustillos and Eric Bustillos. Thank you to everyone who and everybody who spent time with her.

Go fly with my dad and with your parent’s mom. Love you, take care of Israel and me. Be our light. Love you, daughter Jessica Marquez and Israel Marquez

To the family of Mary Ann (Serrano) Marquez we give our sincerest condolences. We were shocked to hear she had passed away. We had gone to see her in Lovington a few years back and spent a wonderful time with her and her lovely family. They showed us awesome hospitality and really enjoyed our time with her and my other cousins. She was such a nice person and we're glad we had the opportunity to spend that time together. She will definitely be missed until we reunite in God's glorious Kingdom. Love you all, Stella (Serrano) Nino
