Craig was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but spent most of his growing-up life in Dallas, Texas. He attended college in Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Oklahoma State University. Later, he entered the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1984. Schatz then worked as a funeral director in Enid, McAlister, Ponca City and Fairfax, Oklahoma; then northwest Arkansas being General Manager over three firms. Craig also sold real estate, in northwest Arkansas, for seven years for Remax and Century 21. Craig, along with his family, moved to Hobbs in September of 2009 reciprocating his Funeral Directors License in New Mexico and joined Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. On April 30th, 2012 Craig assumed the Managers Position for the Stevens Funeral Home.
He is married to Andrea and they have 2 children, Caleb, a senior at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and Bri a senior at Hobbs High School. Craig has also been youth pastor at New Life Fellowship for the past 2 years.
Craig loves golfing, riding motorcycles and officiating high school football.

Gabriel Ramirez (married to Martha) grew up in Fullerton, California, until he met his wife Martha and married in February 1981. He then moved to Lovington, New Mexico in May 1981. He worked in the oilfield for 2 years and then worked as a mechanic and car salesman for 17 years until I met Chris and Wanda Stevens and started working for Stevens Funeral Home in 2002.
Gabriel and Martha have two daughters, Emilia, AnnMarie and a son Gabriel, five granddaughters, a grandson and one on the way

Alicia Arroela was born and raised in Lovington, NM. She is a 1984 graduate of Lovington High School and attended New Mexico Junior College, N.M.J.C., for two years. Alicia is currently taking on-line classes through Eastern New Mexico University, E.N.M.U., working towards a Bachelor’s degree.
Alicia has four children: Isaiah, Yadira, Victoria, and Abram, as well as three grandchildren. Victoria, her youngest daughter, is a recent graduate of Lovington High School and will also be attending E.N.M.U. Alicia attends Spanish Church of God and enjoys horse racing and the outdoors.

Zana Denny is a native New Mexican and has lived in Lovington 39 years. She attended Eastern New Mexico University and met her husband there. They were married 32 years before his death and owned AAA TV for 29 years. She has one son, two daughters, seven grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She organized Wacky Widows, which provides support and fun for non-smoking widows. She is very involved in church and Gideon’s International. She loves to travel and have fun.

Martha Ramirez (married to Gabriel) grew up in Fullerton, California. Until she met her husband Gabriel and married in February 1981. She then moved to Lovington, New Mexico in May 1981. She worked for C. R. Anthony’s for 8 years, and then went to work for Western Commerce Bank for 6 years. She is now employed by the City of Lovington as a Water Clerk and works part time for Stevens Funeral Home.
Martha and Gabriel have two daughters Emilia and AnnMarie, and a son Gabriel, 5 granddaughters, a grandson and one on the way.
