He passed away July 31, 2012 at Lovington Good Samaritan Home in Lovington, New Mexico.
Clinton Sibley was born August the 9th 1928 in Glenville, Arkansas. Some of his friends called him Sib. He married his bride, Ada, September 17th, 1947. This year would have been their 65th Anniversary. Up until the day he could still talk he often called her his "bride." Clinton Sibley was a deacon and longtime member with his bride at Crosswinds Lovington Church, which used to be Love Street Baptist. Other members at the church fondly remember Mr. Sibley leading children's sermons, dressing up in funny wigs and robes to make the children laugh and then countering his playfulness, he led Bible Studies and prayer. After his lengthy illness, we say goodbye with heavy hearts, but have the assurance that he is in the company of his Savior, Jesus. Our community says goodbye to a servant for the Lord, but through his example and service, we have surely benefited.
He is survived by his bride Ada Sibley.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
