Funeral services for Bea Ridenour, 89, of Lovington, NM will be held at 10:00 am,
Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend John
Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be held
from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Bea Ridenour was born to James Kenneth Matlick and Nellie Mae Harvey on September
06,1923 in Preston County, West Virginia and went to meet her Heavenly Father on June
17,2012.
She graduated from Fellows Ville High School in West Virginia and then graduated at
College of the Southwest in Hobbs with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Bea
was a teacher in Lovington and taught for over 17 years. She married Dale Ridenour on
May 28, 1943 in Oakland Maryland. She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church and Methodist Women's Organization.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Dale Ridenour and 1 brother. She is survived by her two sons
Larry Ridenour, his wife Melanie Ridenour of Lovington New Mexico and Ken
Ridenour, his wife Joyce Ridenour, of Amarillo Texas. Three sisters, Beatrice (Buddy)
Chapman, her husband Paul of McKeesport Pennsylvania, Karen Baylor, her husband
Charles, of Kingwood, West Virginia, and Karolyn Bartok, her husband Bob, of
Vermillion, Ohio. 1 Sister in law Jean Jones of Tunnelton, W. Virginia. Her grandchildren Brandon and LaDawn Ridenour, Heath and Erica
Ridenour, Alex and Nathan Schema, Kenda Ridenour, Jade Ridenour, Jason and Sally
Whittle. Six great grandchildren, Cohen Ridenour, Jackson Schema, Brooklynn
Ridenour, Court Ridenour, Aavae Ridenour, Corben Whittle, Dayton Ridenour.
