Maria Celia Torres of Lovington died Saturday May 26, 2012 in Lubbock, TX Maria was born on November 26, 1948 in Pecos, TX to Trinidad and Maria Alamillo Moreno
A celebration Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 Tuesday in the St. Thomas catholic church with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Interment will follow in the Lovington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5/28/2012 at the Stevens funeral home 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary service at St Thomas Catholic Church.
Maria loved spending time with her family and going Shopping and going to Garage sales. Maria was also an Avid Lovington Wildcat supporter.
Maria is survived by :2 sons; David Torres and wife Gloria of Lovington, NM, Daniel Torres and wife Tessa of Hobbs, NM 2 Daughters; Lydia Torres and husband Julio Ossorio of Hobbs, NM Laura Armijo and husband Mark of Lovington, NM 3 brothers Jose Moreno, Ramon Moreno and Filipe Moreno all of Lovington, NM 4 sisters: Dolores Pando, Trinidad Moreno, Lupe Corral all of Lovington, NM and Rafaela Gonzalez of Sundland Park, NM and 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 Son (David), 1 brother and a Sister.
