Graveside services for Elisa C. Wasson, 86, formerly of Lovington will be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Lovington Cemetery. She passed away July 25, 2008 at the Hobbs Health Care Center in Hobbs. She was born October 25, 1921 in Mexico City, Mexico to Manuel and Maria Chavez. She married Drayton Wasson  October 21, 1950 in Tampico, Mexico.

Mrs. Wasson is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Evarts and her husband Steve of Clovis, NM, and Helen Hayes and her husband Jimmy of Lovington, NM; 4 grandchildren Lisa, Tanya, Laura and Michael; 3 great grandchildren Josh, Justin and Jenna. She was preceded in death by her husband Drayton Wasson in 1995.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lovington.
