Jimmy Shirley

            A graveside service was held 10:00a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Lovington Cemetery for Jimmy Shirley, 48, of Lovington, who passed away July 3, 2008 at Nor Lea General Hospital. Rev Dave Roswer of Jackson Avenue Church and Rev. Mack McCarthick of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiated.

            Jimmy was born on June 30 1960 in Attica, Kansas to Bob and Phylia Shirley. His parents survive him.

            Jimmy married Brenda Shirley on May 28, 1982 in Lovington, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home.

            Jimmy is survived by his two sons: Jake Shirley and wife Rebecca of Lovington, and Doug Shirley of Lovington; his grandmother: Mildred Yancy of Lovington; brother: Tim Shirley and wife Denice of Seminole, TX; three grandchildren: Shane Rodriguez, Emily Parker and Ryan Parker of Lovington
