Rose A. Thurman
September 10, 1925 - June 28, 2012

Funeral Service for Rose A. Thurman, 86, of Lovington, New Mexico is scheduled for 1:30 PM Monday, July 02, 2012 at 3rd and Central Church of Christ with Dale Rhoads officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. There will visitation Sunday, July 01, 2012 from 3 to 6 PM at Stevens Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born September 10, 1925 in Temple Texas to Joe & Rose Ancinec. She passed away June 28, 2012 at Lovington Good Samaritan Nursing Center.

Rose was married to Fillman “Bud” Thurman on November 5, 1944 in Littlefield, Texas. She was a member of The 3rd and Central Church of Christ and VFW Auxiliary. She also was a charter member for Chapparal Grandmothers Club. Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a sales clerk and worked at B & J Drug for many years.

She is survived by her daughters Marsha Snead, of Lovington New Mexico, Cherri Goodman and her son-in-law Neil Goodman of Alto New Mexico, son Randy Thurman, also of Lovington, New Mexico. 2 sisters, Dorothy Broersma of Spokeane, Washington, Olga Harkey of Brownfield, Texas. 4 grandchildren, Keith Goodman and wife Melanie of Friscoe Texas, Dana Elliott and Husband Andy of Garland, Texas, Jason Snead and wife Brenda, of Hickory Creek, Texas, Chiffona Mitchell, of Denver City Texas, 4 great, grandchildren, Chris and Nick Goodman, of Friscoe Texas, Daisy Elliot, of Garland, Texas and Jason S. Snead Jr. of, Lovington New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bud Thurman, sisters Mary Monahan and Bessie Sisson, brothers, Stanley Ancinec and Joseph Ancinec Jr.
