After a lengthy illness, Deborah Ann Riley entered Eternal Life on the morning of July 18th in Lubbock, Texas. She was 50 years old. Ms. Riley was born in Artesia, NM on December 14, 1959. She was raised in Lovington and graduated from Lovington High School in May 1977. She was passionate about nursing, thus becoming a registered nurse. She was employed for several years by Eastern New Mexico Medical Centre in Roswell, NM and spent most of her career working for Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, NM. Ms Riley was an avid bowler and was active in several bowling leagues in the area. Ms. Riley loved life and people. She always had a smile, bringing her own unique joy to others.
She is survived by life partner Sonya McCrary of Hobbs, NM, two sisters Pam Knipper and Kathy Knipper of San Antonio, TX, one brother John Knipper of San Antonio, TX, step father Jerry Knipper of San Antonio, also nieces Jacqueline Bailey of Lovington, NM, Jennifer Bailey-Cardona of Fort Worth, TX, September Broadhead of San Antonio, TX, nephews are Nikahlas Knipper, Alexandre Broadhead and Michael Broadhead all of San Antonio, TX, and the Arreola Family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Eugene & Maxine (Coffman) Riley and her mother Maxie Jean Riley-Knipper.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 7 to 8 PM at Stevens Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
