Funeral Mass for Maria A. Moreno, 97, is scheduled for Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 10:00AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. A Rosary is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 7:00 PM at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She passed away July 19, 2010 at her residence in Lovington, New Mexico. She was born August 18, 1912 to Patricio & Cornelia Alamillo in Mexico. She was married to Trinidad Moreno on March 27, 1927 in Mexico. Together, they celebrated 71 years of marriage. They had 10 children, 59 grandchildren, 133 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

She is survived her eight living children: Jose Moreno, Ramon Moreno, Felipe Moreno, Raphaela Gonzalez, Guadalupe Corral, Dolores Pando, Trine Moreno and Maria Torres.

She is preceded in death by her husband Trinidad Moreno, two children Maria Luisa Martinez and Manuel Moreno and three grandchildren.
