Mary Jane Robinson

Memorial Service for Mary Jane Robinson, 80, of Lovington, New Mexico is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 1010 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Lovington, New Mexico. Cremation to take place. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Mary Jane Robinson was born on a farm near Perkins, Oklahoma on December 13, 1929 to R.M. and Grace Flynt Hudgens. She passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2010.

She graduated from Perkins High School in 1947 and attended Oklahoma State University for two years.

She married Byno Salsman in 1950. Later divorced and married Charles D. Robinson on December 17, 1971.

Children are Becky Roell of Phoenix, AZ and Vivian Sumney of Lovington, NM. Special daughter is Kevia Ford Clarke of Decatur, AL.

Grandchildren are Sean Markley and wife Michele of Suffolk, VA; Kim Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; special grandchildren Darnell, Faye, and Silas Clarke of Decatur, AL.

Great Grandchildren are Chance and Natalie Nelson, Hunter, Logan, Hannah and Kelly Markley.

She was employed as Administrative Assistant to the President of New Mexico Junior College for 9 ½ years and worked for Lovington Public Schools for 16 ½ years. She retired in 1993. She was a lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary; CASA Volunteer from 1993 to 2003; Board member of CASA of Lea County; Lovington Public Library Board of Trustees; Nor Lea Hospice; member of the First United Methodist Church and worked with the Cornerstone Ministries.
